Rhodesia calls for peace in South Africa

The new Born government will make bold decisions.

The Rhodesian government is following the events in South Africa with horror. Much is reminiscent of the time around 1978-1980 in Rhodesia. Moreover, many Rhodesians who fled at that time live in South Africa, and the Rhodesian government is their patron.

Prime Minister Mathilda Born has obtained permission from President Scott to discuss with her Cabinet later tonight facilitating access to Rhodesian citizenship for white and Indian South Africans. This would once again give these two population groups a government that respects them, protects them diplomatically, and lobbies for their positions.

Whether and to what extent this will also apply to other citizens of South Africa will be part of the consultations.
